I keep hearing that we need about 20x more negotiators than at present for Brexit.

Who are the current ones, where do they find them from and are the jobs advertised??

Most are reassigned from existing positions within relevant departments. For example, the Home Office will assign people in their visa division the job of negotiating visa arrangements for British nationals visiting EU countries post Brexit.

They are also drawing in industry specialists from trade bodies to act on the government's behalf on specific directives relating to certain industries.

There's a huge hole though and the fear is that there are not sufficiently skilled people out there in the numbers that are required to do the job to a good enough level within the time frames set out.
