Just in case anyone in the area is on a job search at the moment (Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules!?)
The company I work for develop measuring equipment for use on railways. Due to continued growth in the past few years they are advertising for:-
1) A mechanical design engineer with some experience of measuring equipment. The equipment can be anything from a small hand carried unit to take simple (accurate, repeatable) geometric measurement of track to larger, more complex, train mounted systems for recording data from track and overhead catenary cables.
2) An electronics design engineer with instrumentation experience who can design the systems mounted on the above.

We also manufacture ultrasonic and eddy current systems (my bit) which require many alternative means of carriage on track.

Equipment can be built from alloy or composites, circuitry is all state of the art and communicates with Android, Windows or Linux systems for processing and GUI.

For more details and/or links to the vacancies please ask on here or pm me for privacy.
