PAYE Tax relief On Tools?
Discussion
I work on a farm and buy my own hand tools, such as spanners, sockets etc. How do I go about claiming some tax relief of them? I spoke to someone at HMRC in January and the told me the form, I looked at it, but can't for the life of me remember which one it was.
Also, I've just seen this https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/employmen... which looks like I can claim £100 for laundry (my washing machine takes a beating from work clothes. Is this already taken into account in my tax code? Can I claim for my overalls that I bought? I don't wear safety boot, tut tut, but do wear hiking boots for work, can these be claimed for?
Thanks
