Recommendations on engineering firms?
Discussion
Hello,
Wasn't sure where was best to post this so stuck it here in Jobs & Employment Matters.
I'm looking for a UK based engineering firm that could make up barbells for me.
I'm having issues with firms abroad - a large reason being samples and slight language issues meaning it's costing a fair chunk to remake them to try get it right.
I can't seem to find anywhere that can help or anywhere I can post for firms to contact me.
I'm based in Huddersfield but doesn't need to be local.
Any recommendations?

Have you full drawings, GAs, material take offs, CAD files, CNC milling proformas etc etc.
I only ask as I had to do a few "one-offs" (ignore the contradiction in "a few one" offs) of a smilar shape, rather solid metal component. The AMRC at Sheffield Forgemasters were happy to take the project on for me for a good price and a garunteed outcome to my spec as long as I let them use their trainees, which meant that I had to wait, a not undue time, for their production "window" and allow contingency for any re-work (not needed)?

Just the engineering spec sheet that I used for the companies abroad.I only ask as I had to do a few "one-offs" (ignore the contradiction in "a few one" offs) of a smilar shape, rather solid metal component. Looking to mass produce - not in the 100's, just a batch of say 20+ at a time since they won't be quick sellers.
I'll drop them a message though and see what they say, thanks.
