Hi all,

My company operates over six sites, one of which I’m based permanently at and I supervise two guys, the other sites have one guy each doing what we do as they are smaller.

My manager has intimated that a regional manager role is going to be created and it’s my job if I want it.

I’m wondering what the legalities, if any, there are about the job not being advertised, open competition for the role, etc?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

IANAL, but this is written by a lawyer: https://www.pitmans.com/insights/blog/is-there-a-l...

Anyone internal likely to raise a rumpus about it? Externals can swivel smile

Thanks for that. Internally I think there’ll be a bit of murmuring and head shaking but I’m pretty sure none of the other guys would want the job.

I’ve found this after getting my lazy arse on the google.
