Work and CFS/ME

Was having a discussion with someone about it the other day. How the hell does someone cope financially if they have a mortgage and suffer from CFS/ME? I mean to the point where you can't actually work? Is it considered a disability?

(And thank fk I don't have it. I'd miss not being able to do all the sports and so on that I enjoy.)

Whether it is a disability depends on whether or not the individual meets the criteria set out in the Equality Act 2010.

A person who is too ill to work is fairly likely to be covered. AT that point they can seek to have their employer make reasonable adjustments. I also advise anyone in the world to get mortgage protection insurance. You simply never know...
