Looking for new job opportunities on Linked In

Hi folks
I hope you're well. Could someone kindly tell me if there is a way of asking all your connections on Linked In if they have or know of any possible job opportunities without your current employer finding out?

I think there's something that can make it generally suggested that you're looking for work, but not show to colleagues, but it's not guaranteed. Other than contacting them individually and asking not to tell I don't know what your best bet is.

The only way you can do what you're asking is to message your connections.

You can, however, edit your settings to let recruiters know you're open to new opportunities - depending on your industry checking this box can get you a lot of messages - I got 1-3 a day when I did this, but that was as a product manager in tech in London, which I imagine will get more interest than average on LinkedIn.

It's somewhere in your account settings and you have to use the desktop version of the site iirc

My first job move in 10 years has come through LinkedIN and it is the number 1 way to get head hunted these days as I found out after changing my profile as below in Feb this year

If you are up for a move then as stated above you can change your settings within LinkedIn.

On the desktop site you click on the jobs header and then the 'career interests' bit on the sub bar

You can then change how you are seen. Bear in mind all premium members can see this bit if they dig into your profile.

Also make sure the language in your profile matches the classic recruiters language - eg you might be Divisional Head for your current company but you are to the outside world a General Manager or Managing Director and that would probably be your next job title.

AFAIK you simply set your profile to be open to new opportunities from recruiters. I don't know if you can specify who exactly so it's impossible to 100% avoid your employer finding out.
