I left my previous employer in December 2017 and started a new job in January 2018.

Should my previous employer have sent me a P60 for my records for the tax year 2017-2018?

Believe by law you should have had it by May this year so chase them up

I think that you should receive a P60 from your current employer at financial year end.

Your old employer would only give you a P45.

Like 996Type, I thought the same but, thinking about it further, I think what Mandat says makes more sense.

The tax year 2017-2018 ended April 2018 so you would have received just one P60, around May 2018, from whoever was your employer at the end of April 2018.

The P45 transfers your existing details to a new employer (and hence they can produce the P60 with figures for the entire year), but you should have received a copy of the P45 yourself if you want to check any figures from May-December 2017.
