It won't show up on a basic check, but will on standard or enhanced.

Spent conviction now though so even if it shows it shouldn’t matter in most cases ... depends what you need to know for really

not only is it likely to show, you will have to declare it

Which level are you going for, Security Clearance or Vetting ?

Is it the DBS MOD site that you have to use ?

DONT lie, they are normally accepting of things that you are honest about, but stuff that has to be declared and you dont, then you will have trouble.

If it’s spent you will be fine

Just don’t say

If they ask tell them it is a spent conviction and you were told you did not need to declare it

I feel that is really cruel. Shame on you.
Unless of course it makes you feel big?

It’ll definitely show on an enhanced check.
Relevance of offence will be dependant on role your looking to take on.
Most companies that carry out checks will have systems for positive DBS risk assessments to show due diligence in case of future issues.

TBH, I'd put money on never hearing from the OP again so it doesn't really matter.

Why would anyone join what is ostensibly a car-related forum to ask such an odd question.

'Nottingham Knockers'. Groups who get minibussed around the country, and target areas with massively overpriced dusters, tea towels, etc.

They claim to be 'just released from prison' - the well intentioned and intimidated might buy, but frequently either the knockers are exploiting the vulnerable or are being exploited themselves. Or both.

Illegal as they would in theory need a Pedlar's License - they may at best have a bogus one.

Except on sc they specifically state that spent conviction must also be declared.

Think you should retract your post J4CKO. Not sure it's how you'd speak to someone you've not meet before in person.

Yes in enhanced

But just admit it anyway - the irony would be if you tried to cover up a past criminal history of deception lol

Okay, obviously touched a bit of a nerve here. People need do need to be more sensitive sometimes.

How long were you in for?

Was it fraud as well?

Amy good stories?

25 years ago. 25 years. Is it really relevant today?
