Marine Surveying - Ex RN possible career field?

Happy New Year all!

I'm looking in to Marine Surveying as a potential career field once I leave the Royal Navy and I'm after a bit of advice.

I have seen a Lloyds and a IIMS course, any preference on which is the best / more recognised?

and are there any of you guys who currently work in this field?
