Have a question about alternative employment after being put at risk and whether it had to be taken ? Employer will avoid paying redundancy At all costs.
Can't post too much in public unfortunately tho .
Any guidance would be appreciated or point me at someone who can help advise ?
Cheers

Employers are obliged to offer a suitable alternative employment if a role is available (including displacing a temp worker in favour of offering the role to a perm employee at risk). But it has to be a suitable role; almost like for like. You wouldn't offer a Sales Manager an admin role just because it was available.
Consequences of accepting or rejecting an alternative role are explained in the link.

Start thinking about how you could position yourself..
How will your status will change in the company e.g. did you report to a VP or director, but now you report to someone lower?
Does your current skill set closely align to the new role? Are there things you don't currently do?
How about the pay/working hours?
.. If you have a reasonable case, any sensible employer won't risk holding out on redundancy payments.
