Wife was a Senior Occupational Therapist for the NHS for 10 years. Had kids 4 years ago & hasn't worked. Retrained to start a Reflexology / Massage business from home but just been diagnosed with arthritis so that's off now!

Looking for new ideas. Shes got a lovely relaxed warm interpersonal style and people are really comfortable around her but isn't a really outgoing proactive networker & her intelligence is more emotional than intellectual / maths. Things involving networking, building up a business, marketing & sales are just not her strengths & best avoided or not being a big part of it

Trying to come up with some ideas now that would fit around school hours , any suggestions welcomed, she has a car. Have looked into being an NCT course instructor that's actually decent dosh & limited hours.

Check NHS Jobs for ideas of where her skills would be transferable back in to her old industry?

Your wife sounds like my mother........... maybe she had a secrete life and family.

Anyway, my mother ended up contracting for a private housing form who were adapting a large number of houses. Previously, they didn’t have the expertise and were making poor decisions. With my mother on board they never had any issues. My mother liked the role as she had respect she didn’t get at the NHS, she could work any hours she dictated and she got paid considerably more money.
