Hi guys,

Got some interviews coming up. Need some advice on how best to tackle this quesiton:

If an IT system is down, and you have other priority tasks (other projects or operational), how do you prioritise and communicate to stakeholders?


Any other similar interview questions to consider?

You would need to assess the impact that the down system would have on the company -email down then it moves to the top of the list, something like a scanner not working and you’re in the middle of something that has to be out of the door on 20 minutes, the scanner can wait.

All they are looking for is that you’re able to asses the impact of issues and order them accordingly.

Communication should be phone calls for urgent items to ensure people know what is happening, email for less urgent and email to let large numbers of people know
