Looking at that job spec they want a management accountant. Financial controller, statutory accountant, General ledger clerk and every other sort of accountant in one.

Will be a one man band type job and they need to pay more.

i thought the top end of the salary band was fairly reasonable (£60k), the range covers NQ up to about 5 years PQE, I would say.

Working for an SME does tend to mean that you need to be a "Jack of all trades". I actually used to enjoy getting involved in everything and it definitely helps later in your career.

Some bits... Kahn is on Canal Road. Lots of pricey property just north of there - Baildon, Saltaire, and then out to Guiseley, etc.

Canal Road and surrounds? I'm not sure if "dominated" is the right word, and I don't have the stats to hand, but a higher concentration there and then less and less as you head north, Shipley/Saltaire/Baildon/Guiseley, etc.

The Job Description is balls. They just need a Company Accountant and £40k is the going rate for NQ/QBE who can do everything.

It's not as if they are going to have 500 AP invoices to process each week, or do a full closedown every month-end. Based on the type of clientele I'm going to hazard a guess that Credit Control will be the hardest part of the job.
