have experienced this a lot in the last few months

internal applications and the software used by some companies to try and sift your data around.

I just applied for speculative work at Rolls Royce, and literally gave up after about 20 minutes, the software just would not recognise anything I wrote in the job history section.

It literally would not accept any job spec, company or anything?

By far the worst single piece of job application software I have ever, ever seen. It had to recognise the company to allow you to move on! I mean how utterly dumb is that? Some of the companies don't exist anymore, did no-one think of that?

Unless of course this is their way of saying, "If you are over 30 dont bloody bother"

I read your posts and can't imagine why you struggle to impress a potential new employer with your sunshine-smiley persona and positive outlook.

They're all against ya, I tells thee.

Look on the bright side - a Formula 1 race this weekend to enjoy.

Online is a persona, it's just a laugh.

Reality is quite different, and trying to apply for a job where I cannot use the online database is quite annoying, I am sure you too would find it equally annoying.

My point being how potential jobs are lost because of such poor web admin?

I think it was somehow linked to Mini?

Initially seemed OK, then as you uploaded a CV, it took the data and got it all wrong, so you had to edit it all, and red starred every single ox, even though the data in them was entirely correct!

I have no idea why it was doing this, maybe a software clash, I do not have Office, but CV is in .doc format and use it consistently elsewhere!

Just seemed odd that's all and as I say I gave up as no doubt other have, and it's not the first time I have encountered this, perhaps a program other companies use!
