Not nice to come back to, but if they've pulled you in for a disciplinary and it sounds like you've held up your hands to the accusations, then I'd ensure your CV is up to date and you negotiate a positive reference.

You have less than two years service so they can terminate without much preamble AIUI.

It would be well worth talking to people in your wider network about any open roles in your area of expertise, you never know - a crisis can turn into an opportunity smile

Good luck.

I'd be extremely concerned they held meetings in your absence without your knowledge.

The fact they then pulled you into a disciplinary meeting regarding it instead of a constructive 121 meeting doesn't look good. I'd be updating the CV

The company you work for is unprofessional. Assess whether you want to stay in that kind of place.

You can't control what they do but you can control what you now do with your future. Start looking now.

Even if they dont fire you there is clearly something going on there. From what you describe it sounds like someone has it in for you. "Not listening and shutting people down", whether its true or not, is feedback, its hardly a disciplinary matter or sack-able offence.

Whilst they dont have to give a reason as its in your first two years of employment, this doesnt sound right.

As the manager, thats your job to ocassionally listen to ideas and then act appropriately surely?

Did they give you examples of these complaints during the meeting?

Did you give your team reasonable time to explain their ideas?

How did you react when they told you their ideas? Did you just shhh them and shut them down or did let them explain and then give a constructive reason why their idea wouldnt work/wasnt suitable?

Unfortunately, as I and others have said, it doesnt look good and something sounds off, but unless they have evidence of this then throwing in the odd "this feels very constructive" could get a better exit response....

Not that I am in HR (in fact, I am an HR nightmare)

The points made above regarding the methods and processes the company has used will (or should) be covered within your employment contract. The professionalism used (or not), is irrelevant if due process has been followed.

The first and most important thing to ask yourself (and from your post I think you have done this) is 'do they have a point'? Be honest with yourself and if you conclude that they do then what you have done is all you can do and await their decision. They 'should' come back with some things that you will need to do to improve and if they do, then use it as an opportunity for self-betterment.

If they don't have a point then you have another problem because others think you do and you need to ask why.
