Offshore day rates For service engineer

Anyone know what a day rate for a drilling equipment service engineer electrical offshore oil and gas semi platform in Saudi Arabia would be? Thanks guys

How useful is day rate to you? Is that all you get paid? What about travel to the locale etc or are you already ex UK?

To give an example.
UK NW Offshore 21/3 rotation, £90k off Barrow / Blackpool Gas field work flow assurance and dogsbody rousabout.
Offshore Aberdeen rates for flow assurance ~£400/day 14 on 14 off. (Paid only on days offshore)
NW England flow assurance rates in design office at current (skills shortage) £700 day. 5 on / 2 off. So WTF are you doing going out of Aberdeen?
Saudi Flow assurance work - Saudi Tax free package = UK salary + 42% + accommodation.
Or earn more money, contract for us for 14 days and a competitor for 14 days and do 28 days work every 28 days offshore in Aberdeen / Yarmouth / Barrow.

Just came back from Saudi today having visited SA. If you are looking at working for them are you looking at Direct Hire or Contractor? The former is a lot harder and obviously more cash.
