has anyone had any luck with Indeed as a job site? It seems a bit odd to use, like an aggregator of other job postings from elsewhere, but i have heard a few people going on about how great it is.

Also, Experteer... seems you can't see any jobs until you pay a subscription of £10-17 a month... i have assumed this is a scam. Anyone used it?

My company have used indeed to recruit, and we have a new starter joining us tomorrow after applying through indeed.

Not sure if that that helps or not.

Only ones worth using are CV Library, Indeed and totaljobs, jobsite used to be good but they sold out to totaljobs. And Linkedin obviously if you are in certain areas of business, for some areas it's a waste of time.

I would also check out reed and monster occasionally, but they are not as good as the first three, you will see repeated stuff, but that's the agencies problem not yours.

That's like having to pay a property portal to view houses when there's great free alternatives (mostly listed above)

I found Monster were terrible for sending me loads of crap that just happened to have one word matching something on my CV. Similarly I keep getting stuff from random job agencies via LinkedIn, but then again the previous company I worked for did use LinkedIn a lot, particularly for contractors.

Security Cleared Jobs is pretty good if you work in that kind of industry.

unsubscribed from emails from experteer. They don't half lay it on thick!! "did you know recruiters can't see you?? did you know about the 'hidden' job market?? pay for premium now!!!" ridiculous. Looking at it, google is full of terrible reviews of them, so they are gone.

I am in the IT market so some specialists like CWJobs are half decent, or have historically been, but yes other than that was considering just going down to Indeed and LinkedIn.

If you have a half decent LinkedIn profile that should see you ok .... just flick the 'open to new opportunities' switch and you are filtered to the top of recruiter searches ...

yea got that one switched on. In my line of work December is when pretty much all the recruiter activity happens. Every year for the last 10+ the phone has rung hot, as it were. Not this year though... maybe it's good ole brexit or something. I turned 2 offers down last year and have been a bit more focused since. Don't want to waste anyones' time, including my own.
