Calculating holiday entitlement for odd hours
Discussion
Hi all,
Can anyone offer their thoughts on the correct way to calculate holiday entitlement for a nanny working different hours throughout the year (i.e. 10 hours a week during school term time and 35 during holidays)?
I initially thought to simply work out the annual hours worked (or forecasted to work) and calculate on a part time basis. However, I’m getting confused as to how to factor in times that we won’t need her (e.g. bank holidays and our own holidays (which will exceed her allowance and will almost exclusively be during school holidays)).
Thanks for any help
