Anyone in the same boat? My boss doesn’t seem to get it and is virtually following me around the site when talking to me and I’m constantly backing away!

Told him I wasn’t doing a job today as it would mean I’m right next to someone else ( I’m a mechanic and it was a heavy awkward job), and he asked me why I was playing those games now. Doing my head in, struggling to see a way forward.

I think some people just dont get it or cannot visualise it I have seen a few videos that might help people in that respect.

Equally for those that are more introvert it is easier in some ways, for those more extrovert I think the current time is a challenge.

Right now I'm off work as are the rest of my team but might be back in the next week or so.

Trying to work out just how a kitchen full of cooks can maintain distancing... bit of a challenge.

It’s such a difficult situation, I’m the only one really voicing my opinion , seems to be putting a target on my back. Everyone else is just ignoring everything just to keep the boss happy, I wonder why people don’t have a backbone?

Fast forward to 15 minutes and watch the video of how the virus moves in the air when two people are talking. Sobering stuff. I showed it to the people in my workplace this week, they were shocked but carried on as normal, sigh.

I'm due back in work this week, due to the nature of the work (merchant navy) it involves spending a lot of time in close proximity to others, although admittedly the same few people rather than random customers.

Some of the guys are getting worried as they either have family who are "at risk" or are not in brilliant health themselves. One of us has already got it so far.

Management have made some concessions but ultimately we're crammed together in small spaces for long periods of time so it's not ideal.
To be fair though, I'm one of the lucky ones as I still have a job, though partner with 2 young children, no school and everything shut will be having a pretty bad time too with me away
