Yes, currently CTO and various previous EdTech/FinTech CTO positions.
Techy hands on programmer beginnings for around 10 years, a further 10 years bridging techies to non-techies with various PM/BA/IT Manager roles, finally moving into hands-off CTO roles.
Still a techy at heart though, so never lose the passion for tech, both in and outside of work.

CTO here, although in a company I co-founded a few years back.
My path was something like:- Developer > Consultant > Head of IT/Support > Solution Architect > Technical Director.
What really helped my progression were the last two roles, working across EMEA for a very large US company. I was the "top" technical resource in the region so this forced my hand into picking up many CTO-like activities.
Edit to add: My progress, and career over the past 13 years has been in the same industry (Healthcare IT).
