Not an easy answer I suppose, but just wondered if there are recruiters on here that can give some insight, or people actively looking for roles give their experience.
I am in a KAM role, currently furloughed and today found out my team is being reduced from 37 to 13, so there could be a high chance I won't have a role. They have opened a voluntary process for a week but as I have only been there for just over a year, it's not really enticing me to go now, I might as well try to get a new role and run the risk of being made redundant.
My company was bought out at the start of the year but they had also bought my previous employer last year and whilst we always knew there were duplicate roles, Covid-19 has accelerated the merging of the two businesses.
Unfortunately for me it could be the 4th time in the last 13 years!
I've just emailed a recruiter that has placed me previously and always been helpful when I have previously looked for new roles but I've had an out of office response, assuming furlough, which isn't a great sign!

Purely anecdotal but have a good friend with an education recruitment business.
He has no plans to open up again until late August/September. Clearly this will be guided by government advice on schools returning.
I work in property and note we have some new starters since re-opening last week.
It will obviously be highly sector dependant as to what is out there and who is looking to increase their workforce, but this is the tip of the iceberg.

We have one of the major recruiters on our books and they're under severe pressure to cut costs, would not surprise me if they were furloughing/redundancies.
Don't rule out a shift in industry, we've taken on people with zero experience in our field before, a good KAM is worth the investment in training time, partly as a result we have incredibly low staff turnover across the AM teams as a whole. We're also recruiting still, despite my expectations I've never been busier (presales), taken tomorrow off just for a break.

I'm an in house recruitment lead for a US Tech firm, we have ,kept mosf hiring going but reduced the number if net new investment hires and reduced hiring in so of the non rev gen areas but we are still making offers and starting people.
I have an extensive network of in house recruiters i collaborate with and 90% have seen almost all their roles placed on hold whilst they see where they end up, all tech companies.
I am getting hammered on a daily basis by agencies sending CV's and trying to partner with us, having spent ten years agency side I feel for them.

That being said in some of the marketing roles I applied weeks ago for there is beginning to be traction. One that I applied for a number of weeks ago then emailed me about 3 weeks back saying it was frozen in regards to recruitment for 3 months to focus on current staff numbers. Come late last week imagine my surprise when the block had been lifted and they wanted a phone interview!
I am finding my experience in healthcare/pharma (current role) and tech (one of my previous roles) are still okay and some creative/marketing agencies I know of, I think the biggest issue has been some of the HR teams operating with new processes in light of the current climate.
