Could anyone recommend the best way to go about obtaining this certificate and perhaps recommend any training providers, distance or in South Midlands?

Thanks

One of my colleagues does all this sort of training online through Udemy.com

The have regular offers that make the training very cheap I believe.

Edit. Not sure I'm reading it wrong, but it looks like its currently £15 instead of £140.

Does any of the above include the actual exam?

Did the A+ and Net+ a long time ago, I just bought the Mike Meyer Exam books and then paid for the exams separately.

When I did Security+ at the beginning of last year I bought a couple of books, as recommended on Amazon, a couple of exam books, and watched quite a bit of Professor Messer, then booked the exam when I was regularly getting over 90% in the tests.

I scraped though but a pass is a pass.

Even buying 2 books that claimed to cover 100% of the course only seemed to cover 70% of the exam questions.

If I was doing it again I’d just pay up for the CompTIA course books and work through them.

I’ve no experience of the Udemy courses and would like to investigate them but I know I learn better from working through a book than watching a video.

Good luck - they are a good foundation for an IT career.
