I am recently defined as clinically extremely vulnerable with a permanent lung disease diagnosed mid-covid. I am now stuck at home shielding until Dec. Before I return my workplace needs to be risk assessed. I originally did this in March, hands, space etc.

Considering I am now the one at risk with more complex guidance, is it right for me to insist that a different person does the RA?

I'd do it yourself if I were you. You will naturally be more cautious when assessing risks to yourself than a random other person who may just be thinking about costs to the business.

As above - do it yourself but ask someone similarly capable in the business to verify it so that it is accepted as objective.

If your business has any occupational health provision you can also use them as a cross reference on the things they would recommend to have in place for you.
