Guessing she won’t need to worry about it if she goes back for 6mths. NI figure is just shy of £800 to get a full years contribution & I’m assuming if she’s speaking sabbaticals etc she’s not minimum wage.

I Just checked my last payslip & im over that threshold & only worked 3mths this tax year..

(If you’re short you can top up though)
