Yep, it’s definitely different, and at times felt quite unreal compared to a business where the normal rules of making a profit don’t apply.

It was basically “run at a loss and hope you sell for a stupid profit before the money runs out”.

Yes,
I dealt with the transition of business that were owner managed by “feel” to ones that reported KPi’s & EBITDA
(Was quite a change for some managers & not all stayed)

1) If you are loosing money you will be sold
2) if you are making money you will be sold
If you are flat - the backers will keep restructuring and reorganising until 1 or 2 are true
