Not been in this position for many years so please bear with me!

Have applied for a position with a local authority, never expected to hear back from them.

SURPRISE, they want a Zoom interview on Monday, the page the position was listed on has been removed so I have no job description or person spec!!

Is it Ok to email them & ask for them to forward these to me (it's not a senior position if that matters)?

Yes I know, in future I'll do things differently but this is all new to me.

I’d certainly ask, but explain why you’re asking. You want to avoid looking like you’ve applied for a load of jobs and this was just one of them… So, say you were very interested, etc. but in order to be as prepared as possible for the interview could they send the job spec over as it’s no longer available for you to refer to…

That would be my approach, anyway…

It should be absolutely fine. I would suggest phoning their HR department rather than emailing so that you get a quicker response.

LA HR bod - Good afternoon Mr Murci. Thankyou for coming today. What makes you think you’re suitable for this role?

Mr Murci - I’ve always wanted to be a chief executive and this looked like a nice place to be one…

LA HR bod - urm, we’re actually interviewing today for the assistant to the assistant supervisor in the town library!

Mr Murci - when do I start and can I work from home please? bandit
