Can someone enlighten me on what’s the minimum you should be paid annually (gross) for someone over 21 for a 40 hour week. Thx.

Minimum wage is ;

£8.36 per hour at 21
£8.91 per hour at 23

Multiply by number of hours worked.

The average weekly wage in 1950 was 7.08 pounds per week

This had risen to 14 pounds a week by 1960, 32 pounds by 1970 and 115 by 1980.

All thanks to inflation.
