Who's not getting the 8th May bank holiday paid?

We've been told were not going to be given this bank holiday paid.
Anybody else?
I'm thinking it could be a very quiet trip in to work!

Its paid but I'll be working anyway (unfortunately it's year end )

To be honest extra holidays are a bit of a con if your workload stays the same. You just have to do more work in fewer hours.

What does your contract say?

Pretty sure it is just a discretionary additional bank holiday. We decided to pay our staff for the extra ones last yr but said it was not a given that ll would be. When we announced this one would be taken as holiday (as per contract) it went down like a fart in a space suit.

An additional holiday to be taken any time during the year for us.

I must remember to add an extra day to my 365 days holiday this year.
