I don't know about congestion zone but if you pay for fuel on credit card you should if you are on the ball with expenses claims have the money back before your CC bill is due.

Then if your ‘base’ is in Kent/Essex/Surrey etc.. (outside of London) you can claim mileage, tolls, congestion charges into London if on business mileage.

If your base is in London…you’ll need a fully expensed car..

If your travelling to London every day you’ll need a fully expensed car..

No set base as per contract my location of work is field based with no fixed place of work

Maybe get a credit card then. Get one that does cashback, if they still have those. Pay it off in full each month so you don't pay any interest.

Alternatively, your employer might offer advances for this purpose. Often they aren't really advertised so worth asking about.

Ask for a company credit card.

Can you get a small van or other commercial vehicle as a company car as the BIK is much less.
