If looking for a corporate exec role then it's the SHREK - Spencer Stuart, Heidrick and Struggles, Russell Reynolds, Egon Zehnder and Kornferry - plus Odgers. There's a few little boutiquey ones too but the above will handle most searches.

the point of decent 'headhunters' is that they find you. The person needs to ensure they are up to date, marketable and attractive on Linkedin.
