A genuine wfh job

I've got free time on my hands and would like to use it to a financial advantage - not in a big way, more so in a productive way. However - everything I Google seems to be some sort of 'come on' or scam. I'm quite articulate, financial articulate, people somewhat articulate- does anyone know something that is engaging and isn't going to need my bank details and PIN number first? Thanks

Probably best to ask: "What can I do that adds value to something or someone?".

You'll need professional skills or qualifications or a very high level of skill in anything to be able to charge anything like decent money for it.

I have a lot of financial qualifications. But I'm not looking for what others would consider "decent money" either.

How about working for an accountant or company as a book keeper?

I have a friend who does the books for a few sole traders and small companies, does their VAT returns and self assessments returns etc. She then submits the accounts to their accountants at end of year for official sign off.

She's quite busy at 'self assessment time' as she also does individual self assessment returns, think she charges £200 to do a simple one on behalf of her clients.

Online tutoring? I know of a couple of people who have replaced full time employment with that. Not sure how much they make, but it sounds like that isn't the main driver anyway. Maths is always in demand.

I have a friend who is giving French lessons.
(has an unrelated teaching qualification from eons ago)
He’s a couple of weeks ahead of the class.
As in he is being taught himself, then passes it on.
A lucrative sideline!

School bursar, small / local business office manager, small business accountant. Or if it's not for £, then volunteer to support local charity or sports club as Treasurer.

I was just coming in here to say book keeper also.

Loads of small to medium sized businesses need their book keeping / paperwork / vat returns done.

My sister does it for a couple of filling stations and she'd definitely have no problem getting more business if she wanted it.

With the O/P's background and some online courses there would be a good basis for that.
