Hellooo!

Just saw this so a bit late! But yes, here in Singapore. Not too much to fear from the ghouls out here though.

Sadly not permanent postings anymore, I did 4 years in Angola and 5 years in Dubai in a former career.
Now UK based but travel (USA / Europe) about 1/4 of the year.

Came here via your other thread.

Yes, also Africa. Currently have residency in 3 countries, none of which I want to call home.

I was an oil worker in a previous life. Now i am in Iraq. Africa is on the list as its somewhere i have never worked. Also wouldn't mind working on a ship. I enjoyed my time on the rigs, i like the sea!

Just don't know where you will end up in life.

Work overseas (offshore / onshore O&G) the majority of the year currently in the Paris office, this year been a little quiet so only been in Brazil, Turkey, Paris and Ireland but seems like off to UAE in January followed by trips to Saudi and Iraq.

Not currently, but did 2 years in the UAE 2000 to 2002 followed by a further 4 years (2008 to 2012). I travelled (with work extensively in the area in my second visit.

I would recommend working abroad to anyone as it’s a great experience.

Anyone else been working away over Christmas? I travel home in January after a 12 week stint. Looking forward to the time off. Don't think i am going to go on holiday when i get back, see how the mrs feels and see if i fancy it. Last time on my R+R i didn't stop i felt like i did to much so going to chill out more this time.

Probably have a few days/ nights out with the boys. Some nice meals with the mrs, if we dont go abroad we might go London or something have a few nights out in the uk.

Keep looking at cars while I'm away thinking should i get something for when i am at home but i think its pretty pointless really sitting in the garage doing nothing most of the time. Not even sure what i fancy (this is pistonheads after all) always liked Ferrari. I would fancy a 488 but it wouldn't be the most sensible of ideas really. Caterham itch is also something else id like to scratch a lot cheaper to get into than a Ferrari and after January i will be home April/May and August so at least then i could hopefully use one.

Never had a 911 and it would be more useable but i wasn't much of a fan of my 981 GT4 so a 911 might not be for me.

Sorry for the rambling, just bored being away from home as im sure some in this thread can relate to.
