Where to find new job/contract?
Discussion
I was informed yesterday that my role is at risk of redundancy. Without getting into the details it appears very much to be a done deal so I'm starting to look for a new role. I work in IT infrastructure, specialising in Linux systems, automation, orchestration etc. and worked in Oil and Gas industry and recently in financial services/markets. I've done permanent and contract work in the past so am open to either.
Question is, what are good avenues for finding new roles? Is LinkedIn still the best/main way to do it? I'm on indeed.co.uk as well, doesn't seem to be as much stuff there that match my searches. Anywhere else that is worth signing up for?

For me LinkedIn is good for growing your network and access to recruiters, I would be spending time doing this for recruiters and people in the same industry, role and then seeing if you can speak to them.
Does it work, sometimes I would say.
But I would say use your network, people that you have worked with previously and see if they know of any roles and out the feelers out there, this has always been far more productive for me.
