Job in finance after A-Levels...

Since uni apears to be a one way ticket to debt, I just wanted to know if any PH'ers would have any advice as to an alternative...

...Basically, I want to work in a bank, but work my way up "the ladder2 to become, say, manager of a branch...

So, would you say this is a good idea, or is uni a better way to go...

...also, are there any work while you learn courses for that kind of work?
