Key Account Manager

aquila is seeking a highly motivated Key Account Manager. Successful candidates will have a track record of maximising sales revenue from blue chip clients through developing and managing client relationships, and identifying and advancing new sales opportunities with existing clients. With our client base including many of the UK’s FTSE 100 players, top Insurance companies and major Third Party Administrators, this is a demanding role.

Working closely with all areas of our business including: implementation teams, product development, customer services, software development, and strategic sales, the Key Account Manager must be able to command respect from colleagues and be both persuasive and demanding when needed.

Job Description:
This role will focus on delivery of our post implementation services to existing clients, ensuring that we maximise the sales revenue potential from our key accounts through meeting defined service standards, achieving high client satisfaction ratings and identifying and developing opportunities to provide additional services that add value to our clients. To do this the job holder will need to work closely with other sales, delivery and client support roles in the business. The key functions of the role are:

* To build strong relationships with clients; working with senior consultants in our business, to understand the clients’ needs and assist them in meeting their needs through wider and better use of our products and services
* To provide feedback to colleagues on client perception of our products and organisation and client needs and desires for new facilities
* To assist with procurement of additional chargeable work and new module sales from existing clients (working with the Sales support resources within aquila)
* To nurture and encourage clients to become reference sites
* To keep aquila appraised of clients’ plans in respect of current implementation
* To keep clients informed of aquila’s future plans
* To work with the Help Desk to monitor and report on Service Level standards in respect of Clients, and ensure all support activity is properly delivered
* To manage the regular process of service level reporting, invoicing and information provision to allocated accounts
* To review and improve the Client Management process


Key Job Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain good relationships with key client personnel dealing with existing implementations
* Identify & develop revenue opportunities from the client’s existing implementation
* Manage the process for provision of ongoing consultancy, upgrades and new module sales around the existing implementation
* Monitor and manage all aspects of the service provided to clients and achieve targeted client satisfaction ratings
* Provide intelligence to and work closely with our Strategic New Business Sales team in developing new business opportunities from the wider client business


Skills, knowledge and experience – essential:

* An understanding of financial services markets and products
* Experience of IT projects – as customer or supplier, particularly in respect of large scale or enterprise package software
* Previous relationship management experience


Qualifications/Education Required:

* Educated to degree level having achieved a 2:1 or above with good A levels or equivalent qualifications
