Need to completely change my CV
Discussion
My current CV has served me well in technical jobs, but I'm now considering a change of role. One possibility is a gradual switch to writing or publishing and this is completely different to anything I've done before. I have no formal qualifications in that area and a reasonably small amount of direct experience, yet I've been asked to submit a CV. What should I put on it?
I have a good academic background, but it's all in technical areas rather than the arts. Again, my previous employment experience doesn't directly transfer to the new role, but I suppose some skills do. I suppose this leaves me with demonstrating 'good teamwork' and so on, but I don't want to drift into clichés.
The simplest answer is of course to gain more experience than I can put on the CV, but ironically, this is what the CV is required for.
