Does working freelance effect going back full-time?
Discussion
I've recently decided that I'm giving my freelance work a rest and trying for a full-time in-house role again.
However I'm having a bit of a rough time with the jobs that crop up online.
I've attached my CV and give a brief 'Hello, please call me about this role...' to the recruiter but I'm not hearing anything else back!
I've tweaked my CV slightly, but I'm seriously thinking about taking off the fact I'm currently freelance (or at least dull it down a bit).
I'm actually starting to wonder if my CV is in good shape (it has been about 4 years since I sent it to anyone) Would it be very cheeky of me to ask if any recruiters that frequent PH would mind giving it a quick scan over for me?

Feel free to send a copy to me, I'll have a look for you.
The IT contract market has the ass falling out of it in the city at the moment and perm employers are reluctant to take on an ex-contractor as time & time again they've been bitten when the contract is offered a job on twice the cash 3 months into their perm job. It takes some clever talking to convince them to take you on but that's not to say it's impossible.
Oh, and always chase up an application with a call within 24 hours. You'll at least get attention then.
