Product design engineer required.

A position has become available working in a small team on the design of electrical accessories
and lighting products.

The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled
with either a relevant design qualification and 2 + years experience in a product/mechanical
design field, or 5 + years experience in a design role. In depth working knowledge of
a leading 3D CAD package and the ability to read and create engineering/manufacturing
drawings is essential.

Overseas travel to Hong Kong/China may be required.

Essential:
• Experience of a leading 3D CAD package - Alibre, Solidworks, Catia or Pro-Engineer preferred.
• Ability to create and read manufacturing/engineering drawings.
• Willingness to work to set procedures/ISO systems.

Preferable:
• All of the above.
• Product design degree.
• 2+ years experience in a design role.
• Knowledge of moulded plastic parts.
• Knowledge of the Chinese language would be useful.

Location: Tamworth, Staffordshire.
