maximum permitted age to join the navy or raf ?

im a 33 year old fireman but always regretted not joining the raf or navy, am i to old now to get in ?

Depends what role and what age. I looked last month at becoming an officer (age 31). I'm too old for Army, Navy and Marines unless I become a chaplain or surgeon. RAF is the most age friendly, certain specialist roles and the Regiment will take me.

Not sure about non commissioned roles, as i didn't look.

(Oh I'm too old to be a TA officer too)
