I currently work 8:30 - 5pm weekdays, but need to earn extra money as I would finally like to save up and get myself a track/drift car, and it's just not practical on my regular wage, considering I've never got a great deal of spare cash and I'm about to move in with my girlfriend!

Beyond the usual bar work, is there anything else I could look at in the evenings? I'm not sure what else there is after hours.

Cheers folks!

Online shop. Orders come in during the day. You pack them and send them in the evenings.

Problem is finding something people want to buy, which they will not need to return (hasle), and making yourself competative.

Aye, this is something I have thought about. As you say, it's just finding the right thing.

bar work is easiest as its, well, easy, pays ok and if you get in with a chain can flex your hours to suit yourself. i did this to help with my mortgage deposit and was earning around £350-400 after tax per mth for 3 nights a week. it was a laugh and i also met my last OH there.

also, why not just brush up your cv and try to find higher paid work in the same field? not the best of times to be doing it, but easily done.

The place I'm at are being quite good and putting me through courses so I'd be reluctant to leave just yet, as well as the fact I haven't been there a year yet and wouldn't want a short term position on my CV, but I will certainly be looking around in 6 months' time.
