Contract expectations
Discussion
I currently have a contract for a few months and I am wondering what is acceptable.
When I interviewed I was told I would occasionally have the odd overnight stay however I am booked to be out in hotels for six of my first 10 days. As you can imagine the OH is not a happy bunny.
I will only be doing it for a month or two and I'm only doing it because I'm bored but 6 days in my 1st 10 is not the odd night away.
Thoughts anyone?

Firstly 3 months will fly by.
Secondly the economy is up the spout and anyone in a contract (as I fortunately am) is counting their lucky stars and willing to make compromises on rate / location accordingly.
To put things in perspective, a friend of mine based in the UK married an indian girl in December (in India). She wants to work here but the only realistic way is a transfer through her (multinational) company and now is not a good time to be doing it!
They speak every day on the phone or on skype and they make the most of the time they have together, which has only been about 3 single weeks, plus a couple of weekends.
So that's 4/5 nights away (over 5 months) as opposed to your 6/10 over 3 months

Honestly? I just don't get what her problem is. Is she just clingy or what? 6 nights away over 2 weeks, it's nothing. I've done 75 nights away in the 1st 4 months of this year. And I was told when I joined last year that I would be totally in the UK.I will only be doing it for a month or two and I'm only doing it because I'm bored but 6 days in my 1st 10 is not the odd night away.

No she's not clingy, she is unable to carry my son about as he is disabled, the odd night away isn't a problem as she can get help but 6 in 10 nights is a problem especially if this is a taste of the future.Sheets Tabuer said:
