Setting up a HSE consultancy

Im considering setting up my own Health, Safety and environmental consultancy, Im in full time employment as a HSE manager but would like to earn more and once set up, still earn more but work less, ideally expanding and taking on other people but one thing at a time, ideally within the first year of setting up and leaving current employment earn 30k+.

Has anyone done similar whilst in a full time job? I commute an hour each way so doing calls/visits is a problem during the week.

Any advise?
