Anyone here done any pizza delivery work? Or worked for a pizza shop which delivers?

Just curious: how are the delivery drivers paid? Hourly rate like other staff? By mileage? Per unit delivered?

I did deliveries for an indian takeaway for a while. Money was £1 per delivery + tips + £10 for fuel.

If you're that worried about buying a round next Thursday. I'm sure we can look after you wink
hehe

I believe that most are paid with a small hourly rate, then another small amount per delivery, and a rate for fuel.

Surely the minimum wage regs would prevent the 'small hourly rate'?

Well they don't seem to affect my hourly rate..Which I would think is well below minimum wage.

My friends works for a local Chinese takeaway. He gets £25 per night, £1 per delivery and tips.

I do cash in hand for a local pizza place. I get 7 quid an hour plus 80p a del. and keep all the tips; on a fri/sat night on a 6 - 10 shift i can take over 60 while spending 5/6 on fuel in a e46 coupe lol
