Hi guys, I'll post this here in the hope of it picking up some traffic before the mods file it away in a forum no one looks at.

Mrs Egg is working with a nightmare of a new starter, this woman has backstabbed practically everyone she has encountered, is rude, arrogant and tries dropping everyone in with the Boss(useless tt btw)is it enough to raise a grievance?
Believe it or not there is no probationary period.

With enough evidence and if others back it up - I don't see why not. Bosses are ooking to envolke any disciplinary actions these days wink

May get a warning first ... wouldn't be sackable unless performance related or beemed as gross misconduct; depends on the contract T&C's.

Cheers, the boss is a spinless git and wants someone to raise a grievance to start the ball rolling, you wouldn't believe how bad this woman is, she was as sweet as pie at the interview but turned into a monster in the office

6 people at our place raised a "no confidence" vote against their manager...

He had to leave! Never heard of that before.

Are there others in her team who feel the same?

If so, get together and go to HR.

A diary needs to be kept of her actions. You can't get rid of someone 'cos you don't like them ( well not very easily) but you can more easily get rid 'cos of what they've done.

Evidence is dead useful - but all those involved have to realise they're in the glasshouse too - so no stone throwing....

find out where she lives and padlock all of her doors stut over nigt, as well as boarding up all her windows.

after a few days she'll be sacked due to non attendance.

after that you can get someone to cut the locks off!

Don't forget to cut the phone line.....

You'd probably have to mug her on the way home for her mobile too.

The woman is a new starter? Thought newbies could be given the push with little reason nowadays if within the first 12 months or something??

Also, how can a newbie have the audacity to back stab her colleagues? The gall of some people amazes me.

Yes, within the first 12 months an employee can be terminated for no reason (unless discriminated of course) - the ERA doesn't kick in until 12 months service......

I only hear about these kind of problems when women work with each other. When a new female colleague starts, the already employed women feel challenged; especially, when the new colleague has soft skills the others haven't. This would explain the passive role the manager has chosen as well.

I'd say the solution in this case is simple then: get rid.

Unless there is something I missed... confused
