I have been informed today that my employer has not kept up to date with pension contributions and healthcare, which is part of my contract. As such my pension contribution for Oct 09 has not gone toward my pension and my private healthcare is no longer active.

There has been no notification or agreement on this change to my renumeration, and this has left me wondering whether salaries will be paid at the end of the month at all. Speaking to the management this change is deliberate and other people's payouts have been affected (including some redundancy).

I am writing to the 'management' to point out these breaches and give a timescale for correction, but I'd appreciate any pointers as to what to do next.

So far, ignoring the healthcare, my main concern is that I could work for a whole month and not get paid frown

Sounds like cash flow is a bit tight...
It's not a breach of contract if they intend to make the payment up (as far as I'm aware).
I'd check that HMRC, etc are being paid on time if you can. A missed pension contribution could be the least of your problems.

Be prepared for bad news, and don't take on any more long term financial commitments till you know what is happening. Could be innocent but mishandled cash flow, a fk up in the wages office, or it could be the start of the end. your best bet is probably to have a meeting with the most senior manager you can get your hands on and find out what they can tell you, of course they may be as in the dark as you.
I speak from the experiance of being in a meeting with the senior design manager on Wednesday discussing future models complete with agenda and tasks for the next meeting to being told we where all being laid off in a general meeting on the friday.
