Help! I need inspiration
Discussion
Hi, i'm in need of some inspiration with regards to my career.
I'm currently working as a mortgage and protection advisor for the largest estate agency group in the country. I've been in finance for 3yrs or so now and previous to the construction recruitment for 2yrs or so. It doesn't take a genius to work out that it's not the best time ever for the mortgage/estate agent industry right now, but I am finding that I have completely fallen out of love with the game.
I am considering a complete change of career path, but there are so many options and I really know nothing aout most of them. I'm considering anything from trades to accountancy to..well anything really. My main concerns are an initial drop in salary compared to what i'm earning now but I think I could handle it if i knew that £40k+ was realistic after a period training/studying etc.
This is a random thread i know but has anyone had a big career change recently or has anyone found themselves in a similar position to me?

Gaz I am in a similar position to yourself in that im in a relatively well paid job at 30k a year but fallen out of love with it after 5 years and now wanting a different path. 28yr old and now seeking a field sales role or similar. Did consider surveying but unfortunately i cant commit to a postgrad study before starting a new career. Im expecting some kind of pay cut but hope in long run the prospects could be as good. Its when to jump being the big decision to make. For me I think the time is now.
