For the last 8 years i've been a long distance truck driver, going to work sunday evening back home the following friday tea time ish.

in august i hung up the keys due to a friend offering me a job at his advertising company, again monday to friday working away BUT commision only. i've had some very good weeks pay wise far more than i'd get for a weeks truck driving. however i'm a little bit scared of the financial implecations of commission only, for instance i'm off work for three weeks over x mas with no pay! but know the first week back i could make a four figure sum! but thats not gauranted!

at a party the other night i got offered a job truck driving but working days only, the pay is pretty good too. and it would allow me to be at home every evening allowing me to concentrate more on my other business interests.

do i pack in the advertising job and go back driving??

thanks in advance
james

How good are you at teh commission work?

I'd be inclined to stick at it for a bit longer to see how it goes.

If the commission is good enough, build yourself up a 'reserve' for lean periods, holidays and sickness.
