Hi,

My wife and I would like to relocate to Canada, to enable us to do this we need to find the right job for my wife. She is a Product Manager for a global consumer durables company and has experience of managing a range of celebrity endorsed products. We have found plenty of links to recruitment web sites but don't know whether they are reputable or not, can anyone recommend any please? Has anyone got any experience of moving there for a new job?

Thanks for looking

I had a discussion with my HR Manager in the States (ok, not Canada, but pretty close...) while I was over there for our staff meeting... she said that it is difficult at the moment due to the higher than normal level of unemployment.
i.e. For a job to be worthwhile for me, they would have to post it with 'full expenses', which makes it appeal to many more nationals... then, they have to go down that whole list and rule every single one of them out before they could offer it to someone who wasn't automatically permitted to work in said nation.

That might not be the case for Canada, or in fact anywhere outside of Wisconsin, or even my HR Managers' office... I have been wrong before once, many many people got hurt...

If she's a product manager for a global company, could she not keep the same job and just do it from Canada?
