What do you think this is worth?
Discussion
Hello all,
I'm currently in a contract position and as there is no existing job description I've cobbled together a first draft of what the role involves. Simple questions; what do you believe is it worth as an annual salary? Does it look like the description of an accounts assistant?
Thanks for all your comments.
Assignment to re-implement an existing expenses system (up to 1000 employees). To analyse and become competent in the systems features from a user and administrative perspective. Create a list of front and back end issues and deliver solutions. Process map the functions available to users/administration and the processes that will ensure the continuous future use of the system. Devise and implement processes and reports, specifying and testing the reports, to ensure synchronisation between two systems. Working closely with the software supplier to change data in the system as appropriate. Obtain the data to be re-loaded to system, adding system parameter detail where required. Present and demonstrate the Expenses system to end users as part of roll out. Work across multiple functions within the business. Aside from the implementation - devise macro to automate the updating of several hundred Excel file linked to an external database, saving approximately two days a month, document this process.

tbh very little imo.
That reads like the sort of guff you get on a CV where someone has done some fairly trivial stuff and then tried to insert as much bull and jargon as they can to make it sound like a real job.
What are you writing this description for?
